Raised in San Diego dive bars and classically trained on the piano, Mexican-American artist Aro grew up surrounded by music and learned early that there was more than one way to make noise. She spent her childhood onstage with her parents’ band before eventually fronting her own, taking her from the San Diego circuit and Warped Tour to Los Angeles.
Now based in LA, ARO blends haunting piano, explosive alt-rock, and raw vocals into music for the overthinkers, misfits, and anyone stubborn enough to keep chasing impossible dreams. Inspired by artists like Alanis Morissette, Garbage, Halsey, Gaga, and Nine Inch Nails, her sound lives somewhere between vulnerability and volume.
She’s shared stages with Alec Benjamin, Hinds, The Darkness, Holy Wars, Drake Bell, Ryan Cabrera, and more, and has collaborated with Colie Hutzler, FLASCH, and Ian Walsh.
ARO is currently deep in the beautiful chaos of creating her debut EP. THE PRESS SAYS:
